Gean was born and brought up in Westhoughton, she was one of nine children. She worked in the cotton mills which was really hard work, we know this from the stories she would tell us when we were small.Gean loved and adored her four children Linda Jean John and Tony and did a great job in bringing them up on her own she was always there to give support even if she didnt always agree with the choices they made.
Gean met John and they married in March of 1973 her life changed, she had a wonderful husband and her children had a brilliant stepdad who brought up and cared for them as if they were is own.
Her children blessed her with grandchilren and greatchildren who she loved dearly.
John nursed and cared for Gean when she became ill and no one could have looked after her better than him. Geans children will be eternally gratefull to him for loving and caring for her during their life together especially through the last months of her life.
DONT BE SAD THAT SHE HAS GONE
SHE IS IN A SNOWFLAKE
SHE IS IN THE RAYS OF THE SUN
SHE IS IN THE SPARKLING OF THE STARS
